Employee Hours Rules Passage - Vote Passed (248-179, 4 Not Voting)
House
members voted on Thursday to change the number of hours employees must
work to qualify for mandatory employer coverage under the Patient
Protection and Affordable Care Act. The law would define full-time
employees as those working 40 hours a week, ten more hours than as
defined under current law.
Rep. Paul Cook voted YES.......
.
Can you believe this? People who wanted coverage through their employers now won't get it? How insane is this! If you have every worked in corporate America (as opposed to being on the government dole all your like Paul), a full time job is often 37 1/2 hours a week. With Cook and his republipuke buds having only 95 days in session this year planned by the "Speaker", they should be reclassified as part time workers as well and have their medicals taken away.
